On the Occasion of World Hepatitis Day, the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences joined hands with the Airports Authority of India to ramp up its campaign against the Hepatitis B and C. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at eliminating the Hepatitis from the society was signed between AAI and ILBS. The document committed a financial assistance from AAI to the autonomous super specialty Medical Institute.ILBS for a significant period of time has been making an earnest endeavour to bridge the gap between the high-end and the private health setups and the existing hospitals under Delhi government so as to provide advance medical and surgical care in the related field at an affordable cost to both the affluent class as well as the common man. The government has also shown faith in the institute and has provided it support at different fronts. In a gesture of benevolence, the Airports Authority of India, which has been taking giant strides in the field of aviation stepped up to empower the people against Hepatitis through innovative ‘Empathy Campaign’.
