Conferences play a critically important role in the ongoing education of health care providers and stake holders, especially in familiarising them with different aspects of the disease. Stigma and discrimination associated with Hepatitis B & C is a relatively less explored area amongst the medical fraternity. The EMPATHY Campaign would have an annual conference on Hepatitis B & C focusing on both medical and social aspects of the infection. Apart from merely imparting education, this willprovide an opportunity to interact with peers and evolving novel and locally relevant ideas, developing consensus in contentious areas. This would be an ideal forum to deliberate and sensitize participants with the essence of EMPATHY Campaign and forge meaningful partnerships. This conference will be open to the scientific community, patient networks, NGOs, policy makers and students and would bring together relevant stake holders to a common platform to discuss and document their experiences and showcase solutions. This platform will serve to bring galaxy of intellectuals together and stay updated with the latest viral hepatitis related issues related to prevention, management and cure. The conference will focus on moving science into practice and policy.
